Life is about moving on, accepting changes, and looking forward to what makes you stronger and more complete." 🌟

We still hold out hope that Tigerlily, our missing orange tabby is still alive and will be found one day. We have not been actively looking for additional animals to rescue since the fire, but fate has once again stepped in.

First, there was Revlon, the 29 year old emaciated Thoroughbred that was left behind at our new property. Then in November, Julian (the helpful stranger who showed up in slides to help evacuate the ranch) texted me about a cat.

Julian said he found a young male cat cowering in his wheel well. He gave the cat to a friend, who kept the cat for a week, but then the friend had to move. Julian asked me to help him with the cat and I told him that I would reach out to the local cat rescues on his behalf.

Julian texted me a picture of the cat. And of all the cat colors that exist....it was an orange tabby!

I had Julian file a 'found animal' report to see if an owner would claim him. The cat was put on a 30 day stray hold, and during that time, we had our vet neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cat. The cat also had fleas, tapeworms and a fever. The fever went away and now he's all healthy!

During the 30 days, I posted about the cat to a local FB page. Several owners of missing orange tabby cats reached out to me, in hopes of finding their cats.

After comparing pictures and details, I repeatedly told people, "Sorry, not your cat".

So, with no owner coming forward, the cat is now officially a 'Lucky One'.

What's his name?
