Maggie
CAT
Way back in 2012, shortly after we moved out to the countryside, we adopted a tortoiseshell cat. I was looking specifically for a barn cat to help control the rodents around our new home.
We adopted from a veterinarian who had rescued dozens of cats on her own time. I intended to get a large orange tabby but he sounded like he had an upper respiratory issue and he definitely did not want to go into my crate.
But instead, much to my surprise, a cute and petite tortie cat walked right into the open crate. I was in a room filled with feral/skittish cats that were more suitable to be barn cats. But here this cat just walked into my crate!
I named her Maggie. And she was the worst barn cat. ๐คฃ She soon figured out how to get inside the house via the second story slider door and she made herself an indoor cat.
