Welcoming Stinky and Honey: Two Special Rescues Join Our Family
Today, we're delighted to introduce you to Stinky and Honey, two goats with special needs who have found their forever home with us.
Meet Stinky and Honey:
Stinky, a senior Dwarf Nigerian goat, and Honey, a gentle soul crippled with an arthritic knee, hail from Grass Valley. Stinky, in his golden years, has little to no teeth, requiring extra care and attention. Meanwhile, Honey, the daughter of our beloved Feather, faces her own battles with Caprine arthritis and encephalitis (CAE), necessitating daily pain medication to manage her condition.
A Legacy of Resilience:
In 2018, our hearts were touched by Feather, an Alpine goat severely burned in the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, California. Through our foster and rehabilitation efforts, Feather found solace and healing, leaving behind a legacy of strength and perseverance. Today, her daughter Honey carries on her mother's spirit, facing life's challenges with courage and grace.
Settling In:
Despite their initial apprehension, Stinky and Honey have settled into their new home with remarkable ease. After spending a few days in isolation, though timid at first, their bravery grew as they ventured around the ranch and met all of their new friends.
How You Can Help:
Stinky and Honey's journey is just beginning, and they could use your support. By becoming a monthly sponsor, you can make a meaningful difference in their lives and the lives of other animals in need. Your generosity ensures they have access to the care and resources they require to thrive in their new home.
