Last summer, a tiny soul named Bocelli aka Bochy entered our lives. Bocelli was discovered wandering the streets in Albuquerque, New Mexico, his two eyes red and bulging from pain. Yet, even in his darkest moments, he managed to wag his tail at the lady who saved him from the chaos of traffic.

When he arrived at the shelter, it was evident that Bocelli needed urgent medical attention. The shelter was willing to step up and perform the necessary eye removal surgery, even without an adopter or rescue organization in sight.

And then came the turning point: a simple Facebook post that changed everything. The moment we laid our eyes on Bocelli’s story, we knew that we needed to be part of his journey. We teamed up with the shelter, and Bocelli became a Lucky One.
