SURI LLAMA

Precious is a rare Suri llama. Her super soft fiber grows in long ringlets that look like tassels. But she's also rare in that she loves people and likes to be petted. Most llamas do not like to be touched at all! Although Precious is technically not a rescued Lucky One, she has been a great llama ambassador and has shown thousands of people that llamas do not always spit!

We acquired Precious in 2011 when we moved out to the countryside. She had been acquired by llama breeders who then changed their mind about breeding her. Upon meeting Precious, she decided to kush (lay down) in front of me. It was like she chose me and wanted me to pet her! Very unusual for a llama... the llama breeders has never seen that behavior before. So 'Precious Edition' became ours, but we call her Precious. She loves strawberries and will give you a kiss on the lips when you say, 'kiss me!'.
